She made a statement.
Last night at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, the BBNaija star walked into the Chaos in the Ring event and shut down Nkechi Blessing with a fourth-round knockout. What started as online shade and press conference drama ended with Nkechi on the canvas and Phyna standing tall as the first woman to win a celebrity boxing bout under the Chaos in the Ring banner.
The fight itself was pure Phyna. She moved, she stayed patient, and when the fourth round came, she went for the finish. One clean sequence later, Nkechi was down and the referee was counting. Game over.
The rewards? A championship belt, ₦50 million, and a brand-new car worth over ₦158 million. Not a bad night’s work.
After the win, Phyna kept it real. She pointed out that the victory landed on October 2 — the same date she won Big Brother in 2022 — and dedicated the moment to every woman who’s ever been told she couldn’t. Classic Phyna energy.
And just when you thought the night was done, she looked around the ring and called out Etinosa Idemudia as her next target. Etinosa, who was watching from ringside, accepted on the spot. The drama is already writing the next chapter.
Carter Efe also retained his title against Speed Darlington earlier in the night, but let’s be honest — everybody came for the women’s fight.
