<\/p>\nThe ongoing marital dispute between Ghanaian fashion personality Nana Akua Addo and her husband, Harold Norman, took another turn this week after police updated the public on the case and the Gender Minister paid a visit to the family.<\/p>\n
Nana Akua Addo petitioned the Criminal Investigations Department on August 20, alleging physical, emotional, and economic abuse. Police arrested Norman on August 27. He was granted enquiry bail with two sureties while investigations continued. He was due in court on October 7 but could not appear after his lawyers said he had been admitted to hospital. Officers from the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit visited the hospital to confirm the admission and say he will be arraigned as soon as he is discharged.<\/p>\n
At the same time, details of a divorce petition filed by Nana Akua Addo on April 20 have surfaced. She is reportedly seeking GH\u00a210 million, the matrimonial home, additional properties, luxury vehicles, and a share of her husband\u2019s company holdings.<\/p>\n

Videos showing Nana Akua Addo with visible injuries circulated widely earlier this week, prompting strong public reaction. Both sides have issued statements through their lawyers. Norman\u2019s team has denied the assault claims and pointed to previous incidents they say involved their client as the victim. Nana Akua Addo\u2019s side has asked the public to stop sharing footage involving the children and to allow the authorities to handle the matter.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, visited Nana Akua Addo and her family. She assured them of the Ministry\u2019s support, particularly psychosocial and social welfare services for Nana Akua and the children. The Minister stressed that the children\u2019s wellbeing must remain a priority while the police investigations continue.<\/p>\n
