Legal bases and retention

Where applicable law (such as the GDPR or CCPA) requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent (for example, when you submit information), our legitimate interest in running and securing a public-interest news service, or performance of a contract you request. We keep personal data only as long as necessary for these purposes, then delete or anonymise it.

4. Cookies and advertising

ANORIE uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic and — when advertising is enabled — to deliver and measure ads.

Google AdSense. We may display advertisements served by Google and other third-party vendors. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Visits are reduced to a rotating, salted one-way identifier used only to count unique visitors, sessions, top countries and traffic channels in aggregate; visit data never leaves our servers, and Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control signals are respected. Country detection uses open-source geolocation databases: this product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com, and IP geolocation by DB-IP (db-ip.com). You can still control cookies through your browser settings; blocking cookies does not affect this measurement or site functionality.

5. Third-party services and links

Our pages may embed or link to third-party services — for example YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Audiomack, social networks, maps, or news sources. Those parties process data under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We encourage you to review them.

6. Data sharing and transfers

We share data only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, email, analytics, advertising), and when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of ANORIE, our users or the public. Where data crosses borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised by applicable law.

7.
