Fireboy DML is ready to drop new music, and the tracklist for ZUKO! is finally here.
The 13-track album is scheduled for release on October 16 through YBNL Nation and EMPIRE. Fans already know a couple of the songs. ‘Claat!’ with Jamaican dancehall star Masicka and ‘Imali’ featuring JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela have been out as early singles. The full list also includes ‘Dear Father,’ ‘By Fire!,’ ‘Goddess,’ and ‘S.L.U.T.,’ with guest appearances from Judah Harl and LoJay among others.
Fireboy has been building anticipation with bold artwork and billboards popping up across Lagos. The cover shows him in a dramatic red cape under a spotlight, matching the intense energy the project seems to carry. After his 2024 album Adedamola, ZUKO! looks set to mix personal storytelling with dancehall rhythms and touches of South African house, all while keeping Fireboy’s smooth melodic style at the centre.
The title itself has people talking. “Zuko” carries a fiery, almost confrontational feel, and the promotional push suggests Fireboy is leaning into that vibe. His recent post simply reading “ZUKO! FRIDAY.” with the striking album art has already got fans counting down the days.
Nigerian music lovers have been waiting to hear what direction Fireboy would take next. With a solid mix of familiar hits and new collaborations, ZUKO! is shaping up to be one of the more anticipated projects of the season. Whether it delivers the emotional depth of his previous work or leans harder into the dancefloor remains to be heard, but the tracklist alone has done its job — people are paying attention.
