Medikal and Shatta Wale are releasing a new collaboration titled “Sika” this Friday.

The single, produced by Atown TSB, forms part of Medikal’s SPACESHIP project. Cover artwork shows the two artists in pinstripe suits surrounded by luxury elements including money and liquor. The track builds on their previous joint effort “Shoulder,” which won Best Hiplife Song at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

Medikal announced the release with the caption “Friday we feast!” tagging Shatta Wale and using the hashtag #Sika. The announcement generated immediate discussion among fans, many of whom predicted strong chart performance based on the pair’s established chemistry.

The collaboration pairs Medikal’s rap delivery with Shatta Wale’s dancehall style. Both artists maintain significant followings within Ghana’s music industry and have histories of commercial releases that cross between hip-hop and dancehall audiences. Their earlier track “Shoulder” demonstrated commercial and critical success, providing a reference point for expectations around the new single.

“Sika,” which translates to “money” in Twi, aligns with themes of ambition and success that frequently appear in both artists’ catalogues. The promotional imagery reinforces that focus through visual references to wealth and status.

The SPACESHIP project represents Medikal’s current body of work. Details on the full tracklist or additional features have not been fully outlined in the initial announcement, but “Sika” is positioned as a lead or early single from the project. Production credit goes to Atown TSB, a name previously associated with records in the Ghanaian scene.
