“Shatta Wale Took Over Ho and Even Performed Stonebwoy’s Song”
ShattaFest in Ho was packed last weekend. The crowd was so big they had to move the show from the stadium to the Youth Resource Centre. Shatta made it sweeter by making entry free for the locals. He called Volta his motherland and said he just wanted the people to enjoy themselves.
Then he did something that surprised a lot of people. Midway through his set, he performed Stonebwoy’s “Putuu.” He told the crowd he has no enemies and that Ghanaian artists should support each other instead of always fighting. Some Stonebwoy fans still weren’t happy about it, but plenty of people in the audience cheered.
From what vendors and security were saying, the night went well and the town made good money. Shatta performed for hours and left fans talking about both the free show and that unexpected Stonebwoy moment.
Whether people saw it as real unity or just smart PR, it gave everyone something to discuss the next day.
