Dune IMAX Double Feature Is Back — And Part Three Just Got Real
Denis Villeneuve’s Dune universe is gearing up for another massive theatrical run. Starting November 13, AMC is bringing back the limited one-week Dune IMAX Double Feature, giving fans the chance to watch Part One and Part Two back-to-back on the biggest screens available. The whole thing clocks in at around five and a half hours — a proper desert marathon before Dune: Part Three lands in theaters on December 18, 2026.
For anyone who missed the original IMAX runs or just wants to re-immerse themselves in Arrakis before the next chapter, this is the perfect refresher. The double feature has become something of a tradition for hardcore fans, and the timing couldn’t be better with the third film now firmly on the horizon.
The marketing machine is already in full swing. AMC has unveiled new Part Three popcorn buckets, including the “Double Sandworm,” designed for easy sharing. True to form, the designs have already sparked a wave of online jokes — from sci-fi prop comparisons to playful double-dipping memes. The Dune popcorn buckets have become their own cultural moment at this point, and these latest ones are no exception.
Meanwhile, a new video featuring the Dune: Part Three cast has dropped, and the group looks locked in. Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, Jason Momoa, and Anya Taylor-Joy appear together in a casual, high-energy clip that’s already making the rounds. The chemistry is still there, and the excitement around the final chapter feels genuine.
With the double feature returning and the cast showing up looking ready, December 2026 is suddenly feeling a lot closer. Arrakis is calling again — and this time, the endgame is in sight.
