Ghana’s Black Stars are dealing with a wave of absences before their 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign.

Manchester City’s Antoine Semenyo has withdrawn with a swollen ankle, captain Jordan Ayew is out with a groin injury, and Baba Rahman is sidelined by a knee problem. Mohammed Kudus and Alidu Seidu are also unavailable.

Coach Carlos Queiroz has called up nine replacements as the team prepares to face Côte d’Ivoire in Bouaké on September 24 and The Gambia in Accra five days later.
